Who We Are

We're a principally a gender and feminist focused capacity building,

advocacy and service provision non-profit working with rural communities.

We work to increase women, youth and minoritised rural communities' access to economic justice, sexual reproductive health and rights, domestic violence alleviation, and quality inclusive education.

Embibo Gender Initiative's work around SDG 3, 4, 5, 10, and 16 seeks to shift barriers to women’s access to resources, justice, and bodily autonomy. We are a female-led movement that creates actions in response to the real needs of women and rural communities with a concentration on those most vulnerable to violence.

MISSION:

Our mission is to build feminist rural movements and leaders that can resist violence from sexual, economic, and cultural oppressions.

VISION:

A society where rural women and girls enjoy equal rights and opportunities in relation to gender and social health issues.
