Social Enterprises for Sexual Health

Embibo Gender Initiative is working on the Social Enterprises for Sexual Health. The project was meant to increase community resilience towards economic and social violence due to COVID-19.

The project worked to channel micro-loans and conditional grants directly to local women and youth groups to start social enterprises that increase access to SRHR, alleviate poverty, and reduce domestic violence.

We carried out trainings in male engagement in SRHR, financial and business development skills and engendering VSLA structures. The project worked with 8 local women and youth groups with over 80 to 150 members providing grants of over 1500 dollars to group businesses.
