At Embibo Gender Initiative, we know lasting change takes collaboration. We build strong partnerships across government, health, legal, education, media, and business sectors while engaging men as allies to challenge harmful norms. By fostering shared responsibility and amplifying voices, we drive sustainable, transformative change for gender equal and violence free communities.
We carry out: Harm reduction health personel training, Civil Society fora, media advocacy and male engagement activities.
Public servants and local policymakers often lack adequate understanding of gender based violence, particularly the needs of adolescent and young women. Strengthening their knowledge and skills is essential for designing effective policies, laws, and services.
Through structured round-table dialogues, we ensure that young people play a critical role in informing state actors and shaping responsive, rights-based interventions
EGI engages men and boys through evidence-based information sessions and research, including collaboration with traditional and religious leaders to drive gender-transformative change. We work with men as clients, fathers, supportive partners, and community change agents, fostering accountability, equity, and shared responsibility in advancing gender justice.
EGI partners with health workers to reduce stigma and improve adolescent girls’ and young women’s access to GBV and other sexual and reproductive health services for marginalised rural women and girls.
We support the establishment of youth-friendly corners in local HC II, III, and IV facilities, ensuring safe, respectful, and confidential care for young people.
